Prototyping

Are you about to start production or do you need the production of small series? We offer services in the development of prototypes and production of small series. We have a skilled and experienced team that develops the prototypes until they are completely to customer standards. Our subsidiary Pavels Innovation is a manufacturer of prototypes and has extensive experience with several different methods.

  • Prototyping
  • Production of small series

Why make prototypes?

A prototype is a first draft of a new product and helps us visualize the product. Prototypes are part of our process as we develop our own injection molded plastic products or help our customers with the technical design and manufacture of new products. Making prototypes is very important for us to test the product, ensure quality and avoid unfortunate construction solutions that can lead to poor properties in the product. We therefore offer to develop prototypes before the final product is to be serially produced, and in this process make several changes to the product if needed.

Methods of prototypes

The choice of prototype method depends on what is appropriate at the stage of the project. We can deliver prototypes in very high quality. We can create very credible prototypes by choosing a material that has similar properties that you intend to produce your product in. Prototypes make it easier for the entire team to understand the shape and function of the product, but it can also help drive the sale of your idea to a third party or customer.

SINTEF Byggforsk has new requirements for pipe-in-pipe systems for water supply in homes. The drainage capacity in a manifold cabinet should be at least 0.4 l/s and it should be corrosive. In 2015, Grepi Plast started the development of a manifold cabinet that would be adapted to new requirements in the industry.

Hidden corrosion for gas companies

/ Offshore /
How to detect corrosion during insulation? It costs gas companies more than 100 million to detect corrosion, and they have therefore needed to develop a new solution for this.

New energy saving requirements

 /
There has been a greater focus on saving energy consumption in the world, and with the new regulatory requirement in Europe related to energy savings, there is a need to find new solutions. Grepi Plast AS developed and patented a new special clamp for insulated pipes, which meets the latest regulatory requirements in Europe related to energy saving.
