Tips for a safe and durable installation when installing in the wall

Do you want joins that never give up? We've collected four tips for a better installation the next time you're installing something.

Man mounts installation to the wall

1. Prevent rotation

Have you experienced the screw rotating in the wall when installing? If the screw starts to rotate, it will loosen the wall material further. One solution to this frustrating and sometimes time-consuming problem is to use soft plastic rubber fasteners that expands when installed. It will prevent not only the screw from rotating, but it will also prevents the plug from rotating, unlike regular plastic fasteners. When the screw is used together with this type of fasteners, it gets maximum contact against surrounding material.

2. High load values

Choose the right fasteners suitable for withstand heavy loads. If the load becomes too heavy for the fastener you have selected, the installation will loosen and what you have installed will fall down. This will cause destruction on the wall and in the worst case it can cause damage to animals or humans.

3. Creating friction

To ensure a joining that never gives up, it is important that there is friction between the fastener and the wall material. Friction takes place when two surfaces touch each other and a force occurs in the touch point that prevents the object from loosening. A fastener that creates friction is fasteners with an elastomer. The elastomer will create friction against the wall, which allows the plug to be attached better and prevents it from loosening the porous material.

4. Absorb shock and vibration

It's not always easy to know how much shock and vibration your installation will be exposed to, but it may still be wise to take into account that it will occur. Fasteners should be selected to protect against damage. Fastening plugs can provide good shock resistance if you choose the right type. With a soft plastic fastener, the fastener will create flexibility and remain in its original position, even after smaller movements.

Use good fastening plugs

The Grepi Fasteners is well suited for extra high loads for demanding installations. The fastener has a soft surface in thermoplastic rubber, which acts shock absorbing and increases the life of the fastener in airy concrete and soft brick.

Unlike an ordinary brick plug, Grepi fasteners has a firmer grip in lightweight concrete due to the unique rubber coating. This means that it does not crumble around the borehole when the screw is screwed in. Grepi fasteners is produced in a hard core of impact-resistant polyamide (Nylon) and applied an exterior layer into a thermoplastic rubber that has high friction against the walls of the hole. The fasteners do not destroy the walls of the hole, they do not rotate under the screw assembly and the rubber part provides greater friction against the walls of the hole upon pull-out.

These brick plugs are all it takes to get joins that never give up. Order them here to ensure you a secure and durable installation!
