There has been a bigger focus on saving energy consumption in the world, and with the new regulatory requirement in Europe related to energy savings, we need to find new solutions.
Grepi Plast AS developed and patented a new special clamp for insulated pipes, which meets the latest regulatory requirements in Europe related to energy saving. The product was presented to Georg Fischer during a meeting in Oslo.
The services we assisted with: Product development, prototypes and plastic production.
Georg Fischer immediately showed interest in the product. After two negotiating meetings with them in Switzerland, Georg Fischer and Grepi Plast signed an exclusive production agreement. At the same time, Georg Fischer has taken over the rights to sale and distribution, and has taken the patent further out internationally.
The clampised is a simple and smart plastic construction, easily patentable, and which currently provides the only alternative to regulatory fixing of pre-insulated corrugated pipes without dismantling the insulation.
With a growing focus from the EU on energy savings in housing, special clamps for insulated pipes appear to be a big need.
Grepi Plast has once again proved that small Norwegian companies can acquire large international customers based on high competence and creative solutions.
