We at Mezonic are proud that the CC Container has now received another UN certification!
It is now approved to carry up to 235 kg of lithium batteries in our containers. Lithium batteries are considered hazardous waste, and containers for the transport of the batteries are controlled by the United Nations (UN/UN). New regulations have recently been made for the recycling and shipping of batteries, and the CC container has been approved for both Lithium Metal Batteries and Lithium Ion Batteries. The new rules come into force from January 1, 2019, and we at Mezonic are proud to announce that we are ready for the new rules. The CC Container is approved for solid hazardous waste, broken glass and needles, and batteries in shipping on the road, by train, aircraft and boat. The certification is valid for 5 years at a time, and at the end of these 5 years you can get the re-certified for another 5 years if the container is still in good condition. The CC Container is approved for the technical specifications UN3090, UN3480, and packaging regulation P909.
